Out of the blue last week, I was humbled by a note from a customer sent via email. I was surprised to hear what she thought about Reel Mountain. Here's her note:

"There's no place like home" .. That's the thought I had a month or so
ago when I found myself 'down the hill' ... and we ventured to the movies 'down there'. I was flabbergasted first at the prices to even get in the door. Then I was doubly flabbergasted when I got to the concession stand. "Who do these people think they are, charging these kind of prices", I thought to myself. Well, then it was time to go find a seat in the theater. There were tiers of seats and not 3 empty seats together for our group of 7 to occupy.
Sure, the theater was brand new and fancy and tilt-a-whirl seats, but
I didn't care about any of that.

"There's no place like home". That's all that was running through my
mind as we endured and the kids did seem to be distracted for the hour
or so. So, all in all it was a very mediocre experience. This is why I
love living in Estes Park with my Reel Mountain Theater. It IS HOME.
The Reel Mtn theater is not just a movie house, it's place where you
can always see a friend and close the place down talking into the wee
hours when all the trash has been picked up, the carpets vacuumed and
the popcorn machine turned off. It's where my kids get to see Santa up
close and personal. It's where they go to birthday parties, meet their
friends for the latest vampire and musical flick and who knows, maybe
even their first date. (No rush there). I love going to the movies
HERE. My kids love it too. My son already has aspirations of working
there someday! It's small town, it's clean and nice and affordable and
friendly and I love it.

Thanks for giving this to our community. Our family really appreciates you and how you run your business. It's perfect and we couldn't ask for anything better. I hope we can come more often to support you as you support us all the time.

Margie said better than I could have, the feeling of a pleasant, family run business that our family enjoys as much as yours does. I sure appreciate the compliment, and I'll share it where it's due, with our staff. Thanks, Margie.

Here and there I also receive 'constructive comments', and unsolicited 'help' with running the business- I'll share those comments with you in the future...
