Somebody called this newsletter that, last week. They said it with a chuckle- like this: What will you be writing about on Wednesday in the Feel-Good Gazette? Still makes me laugh to myself. It was funny then, and now. I guess he had me though, when I look back- this little newsletter goes on and on about how much fun it is at the theater, and what the next chapter will bring. My wife has even suggested that I escape to the theater under the guise of working...

So here's this week of the Feel Good news: Free double feature on Sunday! We've joined up with the Grand Ole Christmas celebration, and this weekend we'll play 2 old-school classics on the big screen. Remember Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on TV as kids? Sure, you could buy them and watch at home, but I promise some magic when they hit the big screen and you're sitting there with your kids- or a fun loving date and a bucket of popcorn... Did I mention admission is free? Yup. (Details on the special event page here)

Santa's coming to town, the real one. On Saturday the 12th, Santa Claus will roll into the theater on an old fire engine and visit with the little ones, then watch a movie- that has become our annual gift to the community. We join up with The Hazelton's at the EP News, the Klink's that own the firetrucks, and this year, the Goodemote's of Western One Hour-- who are going to take a picture of each visitor with Santa, then have your free picture ready to go after the movie. How could you pass this one up? We'll show that hilarious soon-to-be classic ELF, and a shorter family classic for the little ones. Doors open at high noon. Bring a food item to donate to local families in need. Put it on your calendar right now and don't miss it.

...Not to mention the great films that will continue to sweep through Estes Park as the Oscars approach, and the Christmas decorations bathe us in the lobby with a cozy feeling of being at  our second home.

Was that 'feel good' enough? Funny thing though, it's all true. So today, I think I'll head into the theater to 'work' with the fresh snowfall reflecting the shimmering Christmas lights, while I  escape reality, on the prowl for more material for the Feel Good Gazette. Ha!
