I always get chuckle from the reviews that we hear standing at the door when you leave a movie. I'm not laughing at your opinion- I'm reacting to how much variety there is after a set group of people watches exactly the same movie, and it affects them so differently. From a little old lady calling an actor's performance 'embarrassing', and her friend will rate it Oscar-worthy, and the next guy that comes out says that it was the funniest movie he ever watched. Standing at that door is like taking a slice out of life, and revealing all of the people that make up our world; fresh from watching a movie when you're still under the influence of the emotion coursing through your veins- you'll tell it like it is. Actually, we have some very thoughtful customers that provide the most accurate reviews of films, that we seek out to get the real scoop on a movie if we haven't seen it ourselves. Honestly, we use all of the comments to relate 'what the movie is about' when new customers come in to ask...

Over and over and over I am also struck by how fortunate we are to work at the place that you come to enjoy a movie and escape reality for a couple of hours. To witness the impact of an emotional film is pretty remarkable.

My personal criteria for a great movie is simple: Am I entertained enough to emerge from the auditorium at the end and find myself saying- 'Oh, we're still in Estes Park?!'. THAT was a good movie!

Thanks for your reviews and comments- and keep 'em coming.
