The
holidays are always like that: Christmas Eve, standard winter crowd.
Christmas Day- WHERE DID ALL OF THESE PEOPLE COME FROM?!
This
year we were ready for everyone, not much of a wait, but shows sold out
if you didn't plan ahead... It's that part where the local merchants
get a boost to make it through to summer. The first day of big crowds
is always a bit of an adjustment, but it's running well by the end of
the shift.
If you tried an couldn't get in, now's the time.
Still some nice sized c... Continue reading ...

There's something magical about seeing a movie in a theater. Once the lights dim, the movie-goers stop
talking and cast their eyes upon the giant
screen. Then a stream of light hits the screens surface, and everyone in the theater is transported to another world.
The
audience watches intensely. They pass up bathroom breaks, cut the

The
solution arrived last night to several things that I have a hard time
managing some weeks- while I was responding to an email from a customer
before the day ended. Just hit all of a sudden. Creativity is like that

and getting other work done, ensuring a perfect experience for guests
once they're i... Continue reading ...

I'm practicing that line regularly, waiting for the day I have to appear before the Popcorn Judge in Concession Court.
OK,
back to reality. Three weeks ago, a dozen or so customers commented
across the counter about the recent NBC news story about how evil movie
theater popcorn was. They didn't have the time to hear our position on
the way into a movie, but I assured each of them- maybe you- that the
popcorn story would be forthcoming. Read on.
A few years ago,
having been popping in coconut oi... Continue reading ...

Somebody called this newsletter
that, last week. They said it with a chuckle- like this: What will you
be writing about on Wednesday in the
Feel-Good Gazette? Still
makes me laugh to myself. It was funny then, and now. I guess he had me
though, when I look back- this little newsletter goes on and on about
how much fun it is at the theater, and what the next chapter will
bring. My wife has even suggested that I escape to the theater under
the guise of working...
So here's this week of the Fe... Continue reading ...
